The new online TalkTalk Home Move Service is easy to use, and a
great way to avoid early termination fees if you're moving house
half way through your broadband contract.
How do I use the TalkTalk Home Move Service?
Visit the TalkTalk Home Move Service web page, and enter
your personal log in details when prompted, then fill in the form
to let TalkTalk know when you're moving, and where to! You'll need
to complete the form at least 14 days prior to your move.
Choose the date you would like your TalkTalk service to end at
your current property, and when you would like it to start at your
new property. Decide whether to install the service yourself, or
book a Home Move Engineer to set the service up.
Choose between Value Line Rental (£141 for the whole year,
payable up front), or whether to pay monthly line rental. If you
have already paid your Value Line Rental up front, and you are
entering into a new contract with TalkTalk, the difference will be
TalkTalk will check whether your router is fit for purpose, and
if it isn't, they'll send you a new one for free.
While TalkTalk Home Move is free for self-install options, if
you wish to book an engineer visit rather than set up the service
in your new house yourself, an installation fee will apply. It's

If you currently have TalkTalk Essentials without TV, you can
upgrade to TalkTalk Plus TV at your new home, using the Home Move
Service online form. You can also upgrade to a TalkTalk Fibre
package if it is now available in your new home.

when filling in your Home Move Service form, and have them be
applied to your package for when you move into your new
What information do I need to use the Home Move Service?
You'll need to know:
- The full address and postcode of your new home
- Your moving date
- Your contact number and email address
- The TalkTalk plan you'd like at your new home, including any
boosts you'd like to add
What happens after I use the TalkTalk Home Move Service?
TalkTalk will keep you updated about the progress of your Home
Move Service order, via text or e-mail. You'll also receive a
Welcome Pack to your new home.
If you're registered for online billing you can see how your
Home Move Service order is progressing in your 'My Account'
If your moving date changes, make sure that you update your move
information in 'My Account'. You can also update your move out date
or cancel your home move using the online Home Move Service log in
that you made earlier.
