Select a Sky+ TV package

Freeview or Freesat, Sky is a subscription-based service. This

on the type of the digital TV package you decide to go for.
Every digital TV package comes with a brand new Sky+HD set
top box from Sky, which is yours to keep. It also comes with one

You don't have to be a Sky Broadband customer to enjoy their
digital TV service, but bundling these services could save you
money. Getting your services from a single provider is a great way
of cutting costs and keeping track of your bills, as you can simply
get one statement instead of two or three.
Connect your Sky+ set top box to your broadband router
All you need to do now is to connect your Sky+HD box to your
broadband router. The two main ways of achieving this are...
Directly by Ethernet cable
The simplest method is just to connect an Ethernet cable to both
the Sky+HD box and your broadband router. The upside to this is
there is little to no setup involved, however you will either need
to own a long Ethernet cable or place your router near your Sky+
box in order for the connection to work
Over WiFi via the On Demand Connector
You can use your WiFi to access all the feature of Sky+ with the
On Demand Connector, available from sky for
£21.95. The setup for this device will depend on the Sky+ box you

Sky 3D is the UK's first dedicated 3D TV channel. From seeing
every drop of sweat during an epic Premiere League final, to

Three dimensional TV content is either broadcast through a
special 3D channel like Sky 3D or decoded by a 3D-compatible TV
from a 3D Blu Ray disc. You would be surprised at the variety of 3D
content now available on Sky 3D - you can watch 3D premiere league
matches on Sky Sports, enjoy amazing documentaries that were
specially filmed to look breathtaking in 3D, or watch family movies

Should I get Sky 3D and what will I need?
3D is great for families If you have a busy

Buying the 3D TV set
If you're considering an upgrade to 3D, you'll need a 3D ready TV
set. These are now considerably less pricey than when they first
landed in the UK back in Spring, 2010. You need to choose between a
3D TV that requires polarised glasses (passive 3D), or active 3D
which requires active shutter glasses. You can enjoy watching Sky
3D on either.
