BT Cloud is a free online storage facility for BT broadband
customers. It lets you securely access and store a huge variety of
files including photos, videos and documents, from almost anywhere.
As soon as your BT broadband service is activated you can sign up
to BT Cloud and start backing up your files, all you need to do is
log in or sign up to My BT and you're good to go.
What are the benefits of BT Cloud?
BT Cloud gives you peace of mind that your precious family
photos, important work or school documents and private information
is securely and automatically backed up, accessible and protected.
The auto backup service works in the background,
so you don't have to remember to perform backups yourself, and you
can recall up to 5 previous versions of a file -
so if you're working on a presentation and make a mistake, or you
accidentally delete some important information, you can roll back
to the previous version.
Access is both easy and secure. You can
stream content directly to your compatible
Android, iOS or Windows Phone 8 device using the BT Cloud
application, and mark files as 'Offline' and view them even
when you have no internet connection. You can attach
up to 50 devices to a single BT Cloud account, so
there's no need to worry about running out of available
attachments.
As well as being able to upload files to the BT Cloud
Sync folder via smartphone, PC, Mac or the web, you can
also use BT Cloud to share content with family and
friends, via email, Facebook or Twitter. You can allow them to
download or stream copies, and turn off sharing at any time.
How do I get BT Cloud?
BT Cloud is one of the included benefits with BT broadband
packages. When you sign up to standard BT broadband or superfast BT
Infinity, you can log into your My BT account online and sign up
for BT Cloud, then download the free BT Cloud apps for your
smartphone and tablet for easy sharing and uploading of the content
on all your devices.
BT Unlimited Broadband Extra and Unlimited BT Infinity 2
customers get 50GB of free BT Cloud storage, and all other BT
broadband customers start off with 5GB of free storage, but you can
upgrade your BT Cloud account for more.
Upgrading your BT Cloud account
If you find you are regularly filling up the free allowance you
can add more space to your BT Cloud account for a small monthly
fee. For just £3/month you can add an extra 50GB of storage, while
£9/month will increase your storage by a whopping 500GB.
The new amount will stack on top of your free space, so
customers with standard by broadband can get access to 55GB of
space for £3/month
