Winnie the Pooh Day, blasting the Monday blues away

Every year the January 18th marks international Winnie the Pooh day which celebrates the Author AA Milne's birthday.  In 1926 AA Milne introduced us to the naïve yet friendly bear who is steadfast and extremely thoughtful. From the sequel of Winnie the pooh books came children's TV programmes, the well-known game of Pooh Stick and several 'deeply philosophical' quotes that we can all enjoy no matter what age.

So, if you're suffering from the Monday blues, on what everyone is calling the most depressing day of the year, then take a minute to sift through a few quotes from Winnie the Pooh and friends.

Here is a list of our favourite quotes:

1. "Promise me you'll always remember: you're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem and smarter than you think" - Christopher Robin

2. "People say nothing is impossible but I do nothing everyday" - Winnie the Pooh

3. "If there ever comes a day when we can't be together, keep me in your heart, I'll stay there forever" - Winnie the Pooh

4. "Once in a while someone amazing comes along and here I am" - Tigger

5. "Some people care too much, I think it's called love" - Winnie the pooh

6. "A day without a friend is like a pot without a single drop of honey"- Winnie the Pooh

7. "The things that make me different are the things that make me" - Piglet

8. "As soon as I saw you I knew an adventure was going to happen"- Winnie the Pooh

9. "How do you spell love?" "You don't spell it you feel it"- Piglet and Winnie the Pooh

10. "Weeds are flowers too, once you get to know them"- Eeyore

Don't miss out on the simple yet powerful words of this friendly bear, you can catch the adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Friends on the Disney channel. Make sure you have a TV package that enables you to access the Disney channel. Take a look at the Sky or Virgin Media packages.
