Send photos to your TV with the new updated Sky+ app

While smartphone have made many things much easier, showing off your photos by passing round your phone is never an ideal solution. But with Sky's latest update to its Sky+ app, you can sit back and relax as your friends and family watch your photos go past on your HD TV.

Your phone simply needs to be on the same Wi-Fi as your Sky+HD box and you should see a camera icon appear in the navigation bar of your app. After clicking it just takes a few steps to display the photos you want to share, you can even set up a slideshow to view on the big screen.

Luke Bradley-Jones, Sky's Director of TV products, said:

We know customers already love the Sky+ app and now it's even better. The photo viewing function lets you simply, quickly and easily view photos on your TV via a connected Sky+HD box without the need for any extra devices.

The photo function is just one of the changes going live in the update. A new smart series link which automatically records your favourite show and direct shortcut to the sports channel also feature.

Sky has also been working closely with the RNIB to optimise the Sky+ app for the inbuilt voice over technology on iOS and Android devices.
