NOW TV arrives on Chromecast and adds ITV Encore

Chromecast owners can now stream the latest Sky content directly to their TV, thanks to NOW TV's support for Google's thumb sized media streaming device. Chromecast plugs directly into a HDMI port, allowing you to send online content directly from your smartphone, tablet or laptop to your television without dragging long cables over your floor. This latest update means when you're watching the big game live using NOW TV, or watching one of 800 movies on demand, you only have to tap a button to start the stream playing through your TV.

In addition to Chromecast support, NOW TV customers can also look forward to a new addition to the Entertainment Month Pass. ITV Encore will offer the best of British drama, including Poirot, Prey and Monroe with series 2 of Mr. Selfridge and the final series of Whitechapel joining later this month.

Gidion Katz, Director of NOW TV, said:

We're big fans of tiny media streaming devices so we're really excited to add Google Chromecast to the family. It means customers have another great way to enjoy NOW TV on their big screen.

We're getting ready for the colder, darker nights and making sure there's plenty of great TV to watch while snuggled down on the sofa. Adding the very best of British drama from ITV Encore means TV addicts won't be short of shows to enjoy this autumn.
