How to choose an internet TV service

Internet TV is a way of watching your favourite shows and movies online, via a broadband connection. There are lots of different options available, from pay as you go to plug in and play. The service that's right for you will depend on the shows you like to watch; for instance, The Blacklist is exclusive to Sky On Demand and NOW TV, whereas House of Cards and Gotham are exclusive to Netflix, which you can access via your Virgin Media TiVo box.

Picking the internet TV service that's right for you

Internet TV is used as a general term for on demand and catch up TV services that you can stream directly to a device like a tablet or laptop via broadband, or by adding your TV set top box to your home Wi-Fi network.

Nowadays most of us use TV streaming to catch up on our favourite shows, whether it's Bake Off on BBC iPlayer or The Knick on Sky On Demand. If you want to discover new shows you've never seen before, catch up on series that aren't on basic Freeview TV or enjoy full box sets of blockbuster shows, it's all posisble with an internet TV service. The trick is choosing the right one for you.
