Businesses have recently stated that broadband speeds of 2Mb are

Virgin Media has officially rolled
out its newest 100Mb service yesterday, announced a few weeks
back.
The areas where the superfast broadband is now live is
Heckmondwike, Farnborough, Colchester and Barry, South Wales for now, although the
list is to be widened in 2011 through to mid-2012.

The Internet Service Providers' Association (ISPA) was quite
happy with the government's plan to establish a nationwide digital
hub network.
A spokesperson for the organisation said that the aim of putting
an end to the the digital divide by bringing super-fast broadband
was more than welcome.

Independent media regulator, Ofcom UK, has revealed today the
results of its annual Consumer Experience report for the year
2010.
According to the paper, clients where still satisfied with fixed
broadband provider's services at the stats remained fairly constant

BT has confirmed
recently that it plans to try out 1GB broadband speeds in Suffolk,
as a part of the plan to roll out superfast internet
connection.

According to Ofcom's annual international report, merely 0.2 per
cent of UK homes had access to superfast broadband.
The only other country which equalled to the UK in this poor
statistic was China.
As a contrast - France had 1.1 per cent of homes well connected,
Germany 2.0 per cent and Italy 1.4 per cent.
