  • Traffic management policy: Traffic is prioritised at peak times to manage the service to customers. During busy periods, priority is given to traffic such as VoIP (i.e. Skype) browsing and email, gaming, and streaming. Streaming protocols optimised to 800kbps and P2P is shaped to 50kbps at peak times and to 100kbps at other times. When a customer reaches their data allowance, they are given a warning, after which access speed is managed to 256kbit/s for the rest of the billing month.
  • Fair usage policy: If you use more than 20GB in any month, O2 will give you a written warning (by email or otherwise). In extreme circumstances, if the levels of activity don’t decrease in line with O2's instructions after the warning, O2 may terminate or suspend your Services.
