Simplify Digital (referred to in this document as “Us”, “We” or “Simplify Digital”) is a new service designed to help you find which digital services are best suited to your individual requirements and help you to understand the digital switchover. Through Simplify Digital's website (www.simplifydigital.co.uk) (the "Website") and our Simplify Digital call centre (the "Call Centre") We will provide you with an excellent customer service; helping you to make the right choices when it comes down to which digital suppliers to use and providing you with all of the latest news which may be of interest to you.

What information will Simplify Digital collect and how will it use this information?

As well as helping you find out which digital services are best suited to your individual requirements and to provide you with excellent customer service, the Website and Call Centre are designed to provide you with information about the digital switchover, digital suppliers and the latest news Simplify Digital considers may be of interest to you (the "Updates").

Before Simplify Digital is able to provide you with Updates, We need to collect personal information to allow Us to identify you. The information We will need to collect includes your:

•      And any other relevant personal information which may be necessary for Us to provide our service to you


Your personal information will be collected when you register to receive the Updates on which you have expressed an interest or when you purchase goods or services from us. Please note that your calls with advisors in our Call Centre may be recorded for quality control and training purposes.

Following our advice, if you decide to sign up with a particular digital service provider (the "Service Provider"), Simplify Digital may also help to process your application to sign up with the Service Provider. In addition to the above personal information, We may also require your bank and billing details, postal address and contact telephone number to set up the service.

Rest assured, all personal information will be collected in accordance with our obligations under the Data Protection Act 1998.

Will your personal information be passed on to anyone else?

As We mentioned above, Simplify Digital may help to process your application to sign up with a Service Provider. We will pass your personal information on to the Service Provider if you sign up with them through us.

Additionally, Simplify Digital may pass your personal information on to third parties to allow Us (or such relevant third party) to comply with our (or its) legal obligations in relation to the provision of the services offered by Simplify Digital. As such, the personal data of customers who have entered into an agreement with Simplify Digital for Cover Plans may be passed on to the service supplier, Microtechs Limited. Additionally, data obtained during the course of the purchase of TV Sales products may be passed on to 010 Plus Limited (trading as The Flattelly Company); and data collected in connection with the purchase of an extended warranty may be passed on to TADL Assist. Simplify Digital may also pass personal information collected in relation with a contract for Installation Services on to the individual installer of the equipment to allow them to perform their contractual obligations.

Your personal information may also be used to contact you from time to time by post, phone or electronic mail to provide you with additional information about digital services which Simplify Digital considers may be of interest to you. Additionally, Simplify Digital may use anonymous information to compile statistical information about its customers to help it to improve the content of the Website and make it more relevant and more useful to Simplify Digital's customers generally. Simplify Digital will not hold your information for any longer than is necessary.

If you would rather not receive direct marketing, this material or be contacted in this manner please make this clear when registering with us; by advising your customer advisor that you do not wish to receive this information, or by not ticking the relevant consent box when registering through our Website. For this reason by agreeing to the conditions laid out in this Privacy Statement you agree that your details may be used by Simplifydigital to contact you with a view to seeing if you are interested in purchase, highlighting any special offers or ways they might be able to help you get the best deal. If you are unhappy with this condition of use then please let us know but be aware and do not submit your details to our service without first letting us know and our acknowledging your request.

If you ask Us in writing, Simplify Digital will provide you with details of the information held by Simplify Digital about you. Please write to the Contact Address above. Please don't forget to enclose a cheque for £10 (made payable to 'Simplify Digital') to cover our costs for providing this information; without it, We won't be able to supply your information.
