More people in Wales will soon be able to access council information from their digital TV top-box, it has been revealed.
The BBC's Digi TV trial is set to be rolled-out across the country following successful digital TV pilots by several local authorities in the valleys area and Wrexham.
This exciting digital TV project enables people to check-up on council information and services from their digital TV set in their sitting room.
Carl Sergeant, the country's social justice minister, said the move would improve access to services for people not familiar with the internet, or who lack broadband access.
He added: "This means that digitally excluded people who don't have access to the internet at home will now be able to access services similar to those available on the web."
Last month, it was announced that the Digital Switchover (DSO) had got underway to switch thousands of TV viewers in both west and central Wales over to digital TV signals - a change that may not take effect until people retune their Freeview or BT Vision channels.
