Nothing can stop Brits from watching the Games, Sky finds

Summer of sports is right. According to Sky's calculations, 7 per cent of UK's employees have decided to hide in the restrooms in order to watch the Games.

SimplifyDigital has a feeling that there were more people than that but it's good to know that at least some people confessed.

Sky also found that 50 per cent of Brits made sure all the improvements to their digital TV services were carried out in time for the Olympics.

Another interesting statistic the telecoms giant published was that nearly one in ten people was conniving to take a "sick day" off in order to catch their favourite game, seeing as only 25 per cent of Brits admitted that they were allowed to watch the events in the office.

Also, Sky found that while watching a sporting event, men preferred to voice their views on Twitter, while women liked to use Facebook. Almost a third (29 per cent) said that seeing something breathtaking or out of the ordinary sucked them straight into using social media to express their thoughts.

To get the best HD sports coverage, customers can look no further than Sky. Channels include Sky Sports, 1,2, 3 and 4 Sky Sports F1™ HD and Sky Sports News HD.
