Everything Everywhere has been on the
industry's radar for some time now seeing as the company hinted on
numerous occasions that it was not too happy with its name.
This led some to suggest that perhaps Everything Everywhere was
planning to erase T-Mobile and Orange brand names
from the face of the earth.
The company has now fired back at the rumours saying not so
fast, T-Mobile and Orange are not going anywhere.
The topic is still a headline favourite following yesterday's
news that the joint venture will be the first one in the UK to kick
off 4G services. This fuelled tales that the two company names
would be killed off and Everything Everywhere would be given a more
fourth-generation-centric title.
EE's spokesperson was quoted as saying that the parent firm will
"remain committed to our hugely successful brands Orange and
T-Mobile and continue to invest in them for the foreseeable future.
Any suggestion otherwise is entirely speculative."
Simplifydigital sees why EE wants to keep both brands on board
at least for the "foreseeable future". T-Mobile and Orange
are both hugely successful in the UK and
abroad.
Plus, the logo colours (pink and, you guessed it, orange) clash
perfectly.
