Game changing news in the sphere of satellite broadband as
Tooway has rolled out a brand new deal which
offers set up, hardware and installation for free as well as
broadband download speeds of up to 18Mbps (the
maximum).
Tooway uses Eutelsat's KA-SAT
spacecraft to deliver the services which will also include
6Mbps uploads. Previously the fastest speeds the
ISP was capable of delivering were 10Mbps.
SimplifyDigital would like to remind you that satellite broadband
providers impose strict guidelines when it comes to monthly usages
- these include severe throttling when a certain limit within the
allowance has been hit (as a warning).
However with the revamped packages, Tooway hopes to supply good
quality services through the entire duration of the customer's
monthly allowance without imposing any strike one, strike two,
strike three, you're out.
Andrew Walwyn, Tooway's Managing Director, was
quoted as saying:
"These new service levels mean even larger families with
several PC's and smart-phone users can share the services with
total confidence in getting a good user experience.
"We feel that this will redraw the broadband map of Europe,
as the new services mean tens of thousands of properties (that
wouldn't have been able to otherwise) can now access the next wave
of broadband functionality."
It's also worth saying that customers on old tariffs can
migrate to newer equivalents without any
charges.
Customers have until the last day of July 2012 to take advantage
of the free set up offer.
The prices for downloads of 18Mbps and uploads of 6Mbps are
£54.99 for an allowance of 26GB and £99.99 for 50GB.
