Internet service provider, Sky, is to implement numerous changes to its electronic programme guide (EPG) starting February.

There will be a major reshuffling of the company's digital TV channels from 1 February 2011, Sky has announced.

Changes will include the first-time launch of station Sky Atlantic at position 108 on the EPG, as well as moving the recently acquired Sky Living to channel 107.

For the 3.1 million subscribers to Sky's HD package, it may be interesting to know that 40 high-definition channels will come in the place of their standard-definition counterparts.

Other adjustments to the existing order of channels will include moving Comedy Central, FX, MTV, Syfy and Universal to higher-profile positions, the same being done with their HD alternatives.

Sky's commercial director, Rob Webster, said:

"We've worked with a range of partner channels to ensure that customers can find their favourite pay-TV channels and programming as easily as possible."
