Disney decided to keep the launch of their online movies website quiet, but consumers can still buy or rent digital versions of Pixar and Disney films as well as watch them online.

The website is seen as a connector of both physical and digital worlds for Disney's mainstream fans, however the company has done very little to advertise the fresh web page.

No links can be found on the firm's main website, however the url is provided inside DVDs and Blu-Ray discs.

Disney has already joined forces with Wal-Mart to give away a free digital copy of Toy Story 3 when you buy the physical video. You can view the online video when you enter a code enclosed in the Toy Story 3 disc.

Disney's plan is to use KeyChest Technology - this allows consumers to purchase they "key" or code which then will allow them to watch the content on any platform, be it on a home computer or on the go using mobile broadband.
