A recent survey conducted by Sky News has revealed that Brits
would rather slash their food budget than give up their broadband service during
economic difficulties.
Sky surveyed over 1,000 of their customers and found that
broadband is fast becoming a necessity, not a desire.
Research analyst Michael Garland said in a
statement today...
"Many Sky News Panel respondents indicated increasing concern
over the impact that the current economic climate is having on
their financial situation."
"Uncertainty surrounding job security, combined with rising
costs for commodities such as food and drink, petrol, and
electricity and gas have led to money worries for many, with some
reporting increased insomnia, moodiness and even ill health as a
result."
A separate survey conducted by Clydesdale bank found that 93% of
respondents would cancel their broadband connection as a last
resort!
