More and more people will soon be watching high definition
television, according to a leading entertainment website.
Digital Spy media writer Andrew Laughlin said HD will become
more prevalent in the UK as the technology gets cheaper.
He said a "strong and vocal" group of viewers are increasingly
demanding their favourite programmes are shown in HD, even though
many people are still content with standard definition.
"With the launch of Freeview HD and the tumbling price of HD
TVs, we're going to see HD become much more popular and widely
adopted in the UK," he wrote.
Digital TV provider Sky recently
announced it has more than three million HD customers, 1.6 million
of which were signed up in the 12 months to June 30.
