Virgin Media, the UK's second largest pay digital TV provider has agreed a deal with Turner Broadcasting to make its pre-school kid's channel Catoonito available in the UK.
Catoonito is very popular and has shows like Fireman Sam, Care Bears and Hi-5, and will be included in Virgin Media's digital TV packages Size L and XL from April. A digital TV channel number has yet to be announced.
The deal includes on-demand content too. Virgin Media already has the UK's largest pay digital TV provider on-demand library and this deal will add Catoonito content such as Go And... and Cartoonito Karaoke to the Virgin Media library.
"With the addition of Cartoonito and a huge range of TV on-demand content, families are going to be spoilt for choice on Virgin Media," said Virgin Media executive director of digital entertainment Cindy Rose.
"Kids already have access to some of the best shows on-demand and our expanded lineup from Turner Broadcasting will let kids enjoy their favourite shows at any time of the day, morning or evening."
