New software will be added to digital TV set-top boxes in order to offer an improved service, according to broadband bundle provider Virgin Media.
The company revealed that from autumn this year, digital TV boxes will include TiVo.
Neil Berkett, the company's CEO, told the Cable Congress conference that the use of the new technology is aimed at providing a better service for Virgin Media customers.
He said: "We believe TiVo will supply the best user experience, Flash-based, and creating a new gateway to the digital world."
The new of the improved service come hot on the heels of the announcement that Virgin Media's digital TV service will broadcast the FIlm4 HD channel exclusively starting this summer.
