Virgin Digital Help is a relatively new company in the Virgin family which aims to help people solve problems with their digital appliances, such as computers, mobiles, gaming consoles etc. through a combination of downloadable tools, home visits, online and home support.
The service is targeted at residential customers with lots of kit and broadband connections, as well as small business customers who need cost effective technical support for broadband connectivity, network and hardware problems.
For a limited time only they are also offering 30 minutes of FREE digital help to everyone.
The service follows a number of other similar services which have launched on the UK market, including Geek Squad and DSGi's The Tech Guys. Virgin Digital Help focus on broadband households and "gadgeteers", especially as many broadband users voice concern about the cost and availability of broadband technical help from their broadband providers.
Virgin Digital Help's technicians are available to come to your home all over the UK with the exception of the following postcodes: PO,KW, IV, AB, PH, PA, KA, BT, IM, GY, JE, HS, TR or LL.
The service can help with a wide range of gadgets including: laptops, PCs, netbooks, monitors, printers, wireless networks, smartphones, digital storage, games consoles, music players, digital cameras and digital camcorders .
It also covers computer software - Any Microsoft products, like Windows® XP, Windows® Vista and Windows® 7 operating system; and smartphone software - Windows Mobile, Google Android, RIM (for BlackBerry®) and Symbian.
The service is not however able to help with Digital TVs, HDTV, set top boxes, home theatre systems, photo printers, CCTV and projectors; Apple computers or Linux; or any Sony Ericsson phone.
