The final quarter of 2009 brought some good news to the Britain's broadband sector after it was announced today that 308,000 broadband lines were added across the UK. This exceeds the industry forecast by 66,000 lines.
The total number of broadband lines in the UK now sits at 18,356,000.
This leaves the total broadband penetration in UK households at 62% which highlights just how far the British Government has to go before every household has broadband access by 2012.
