Competition in the mobile broadband market continues to hot up as O2 announces a strong new mobile broadband deal - offering free mobile broadband for 90 days.

This new mobile broadband deal comes with a 1GB usage limit and an 18-month contract - and those signing up will get the popular Huawei E169 modem.

O2 has thrown in unlimited WiFi, courtesy of the Cloud, a free modem worth £20 and home broadband for £5 extra per month.

The price of the mobile broadband contract over the 18 months will be £150 or £8.33 per month, and those wanting more capacity can choose a 3GB package for £15 per month on the same terms and conditions.

The firm is also offering shorter mobile broadband contracts, with a one month tie-in. You would only need to pay £20 for the mobile broadband modem but you lose the three-months-free offer (worth either £30 or £45 depending on the amount of data you use).
