Households in the Cotswolds are to be provided with new guides to help them prepare for the digital TV switchover.
The publications will advise people of how to purchase Freeview set-top boxes, or get digital TV boxes from companies such as Sky, Virgin Media and BT, so that they can still watch television after the changes, Digital UK has confirmed.
The two-stage process will begin on March 24.
Digital UK south-west regional manager Bill Taylor said: "With the New Year now upon us and resolutions fresh in our minds, it seems a good time to think ahead to the big changes to the way we watch television."
There are five ways to switch to digital TV. Free terrestrial digital TV from Freeview; subscription free digital satellite TV from Freesat; subscription (pay) digital TV from Sky; fibre-optic cable digital TV from Virgin Media; and IPTV accessible via DSL broadband connection from BT Vision, TalkTalk TV and others.
