Simplifydigital's recent independent research has found that UK consumers are missing the opportunity to make very big SAVINGS by buying their digital TV, broadband and home phone services from a single provider.

Our independent research shows that British families are wasting a combined £900m every year by buying their digital TV, broadband and home phone services from separate providers.

Digital bundle deals are fast increasing in popularity, but only 40 per cent of UK households buy all three services (digital TV, broadband and home phone services) from the same provider - a so-called "triple play" deal.

Indeed nearly one quarter of UK homes are still buying the three services from three different providers, thereby wasting hundreds of pounds every year!

That's because the big digital providers such as Sky, Virgin Media, BT and Tiscali (now part of TalkTalk) offer great savings for buying your broadband, digital TV and home phone together as a bundle. Sky for example offers a free broadband and home phone services when you subscribe to its digital TV service and Virgin Media offers a free TV service when you subscribe to their broadband service.

Our independent research undertaken in November 2008 shows that on average, people who buy a bundle of all three services from one provider pay an average of £30 per month for all three services (digital TV, broadband and home phone) which is £360 per year less than people who buy each one separately!

Indeed those households who take the three services from three different providers are paying an average of £72 per month, with the average cost of standalone broadband services being £18 per month and the average cost of standalone home phone services being £21 a month.
