What is the best way to compare digital TV packages?

We understand that comparing prices on digital TV can get a bit confusing as the different packages over a range of channels, pay-per-view options and other services.

You could be forgiven for thinking that you only have limited options, but that's not usually the case. Sky, BT Vision and Virgin Media all offer premium digital TV deals, so you can access some of the latest movies and shows from home and abroad months before they are shown on freeview. What's more, bundling your phone and broadband services can save you money so a premium TV package needn't come at premium price based on what ytou could be paying already.

It's always a good idea to know the type of channels you want, that way way we can recommend the closest matched deals to your needs. To do this online in two easy steps, just start by entering your postcode and clicking the digital TV option before you hit search. Once you've done that we'll show you small a list of deals that include a basic digital TV package from every provider that offers one where you live. Next, choose the advance search option (in the search bar) to tell us more about the deal you want. You can tell choose options for HD, recordable boxes (so you can pause, record and and rewind live TV) along with extra channels such as Sky Sports, ESPN, movies and various entertainment packs. When you search again we'll show you a new set of results that matches your needs. If you want to add broadband or phone, just select those options and we'll show you prices for bundled deals (this is where you can save the most money vs. what you could be already paying by having each product with different suppliers).

As a final tip, check the first year cost so you can weigh up the value of any special offers or introductory digital TV discounts; (if line rental is included in the deal, click on the product name to see the rate)

If that all sounds just too complicated then why not let us do the hard work for you; give our experts a call for free and we'll talk you through all the options so you can compare digital TV deals with ease. It just takes a few minutes and there's no obligation to buy (and we won't put you under any pressure to so). We're independent from the brands we sell, so no one is favoured over the other, so if the best deal for you is a Freeview box or what you already have, then we'll say so. If you do buy a product using our service, then we'll get paid a commission, along with the agent that answered your call. We like to be transparent that way.
