Cheapest TV Deals

Cheap TV deals – Big Television Channels, Tiny Prices...

So you’ve finally had enough. There’s only so many times you can watch the same re-run of Top Gear before you admit to yourself that watching a celebrity chef drive a cheap car round a track just isn’t the kind of TV experience that you deserve. You want more. You want the latest drama series, the biggest blockbusters. You want a killer digital TV package... but you don’t want to pay a fortune.

Is there such a thing as a cheap digital TV deal? Well, as it happens, yes there is. But like everything in life, you get what you pay for. The cheapest deals have the smallest selection of channels. If you want the all singing all dancing TV package bonanza, it comes at a price (on the other hand, with so much great TV, you probably won’t ever go out, or even have time to eat... so you can save some money there...).

So give me an example of a budget TV package deal?

Freeview. Calling it a digital TV package is actually a bit of a misnomer. All you are actually doing is purchasing hardware, a digital TV receiver, and then there are no further charges (cheap enough for you?!). Once you buy the box, you get a pretty punchy 150 odd channels, including favourites like E4, Dave, Film Four, History and BBC News. You also get all the BBCs (1-4), the ITVs (1-4) and dozens of others. If you want a broader range of TV channels, but want to avoid additional monthly costs, this is the option for you – a deal so cheap, it’s actually free.

And a mid-range option?

In this case, you’ll be looking for a small monthly subscription. Two of the most popular providers, Sky and Virgin Media, both offer these type of cheap TV deals. For both, the basic packs contain all the Freeview channels, plus a decent smattering of premium channels – like Sky 1, the Discovery channel, EuroSport, usually for less than £10 a month if you combine it with phone line or broadband deal.

Can I get a low cost TV deal with ALL the channels?

Yes... and no. It’s pretty easy to spend a fortune on a digital TV package. Getting the full works from one of the big providers can easily set you back £40-£50 a month if you’re not careful. You’ll get everything you’ve ever wanted – the best sports games, the latest movies, available to watch whenever you wish, but at a price. So how do you find the best selection of channels without spending too much? How can you get the best digital TV package while spending as little as possible?

Well, this is where we come in.
