Be Broadband
Since their launch in 2004, Be have been providing super-fast broadband to customers all over the UK. With a maximum speed of 24Mb, Be is currently one of the fastest mainstream ISPs in Britain.
In 2006, Be was bought by Spanish telecommunications giant Telefónica, which also owns O2. Despite this, it has remained as a separate brand, continuing to offer great broadband deals.
Be has three broadband packages for you to choose from. Be Unlimited does what it says on the tin. It comes with unlimited usage and download speeds of up to 24Mb. You get a free wireless router so you can go online anywhere in the house. You also get a static IP address, which you would need if you wanted to run your own server. The Unlimited package costs £18 a month, plus a one-off £24 connection fee.

Be Value is a great deal for those who don't need a super-fast connection. You get 8Mb broadband, unlimited downloads and a free wireless router. This package comes with a dynamic IP address, which would not make a difference to most users. You still have to pay a £24 connection fee. The monthly fee is £8 through to the end of 2008, £14 thereafter.
If you want the works, Be Pro is the package for you. You get the same high speed downloads as with Be Unlimited, plus super-fast 2.5Mb uploads, twice the normal speed. This package cost £22 a month, plus the connection fee.
