Charlie Ponsonby

CEO

Charlie is the CEO and founder of Simplifydigital. After Cambridge University, Charlie started his career as an economist working on development projects throughout the Middle East, Asia and Africa. From there he moved to Accenture’s strategy practice in 1993, where he worked specialized in the retail and foods sectors. Charlie left Accenture in 1996 to join the Board of Selfridges where he was closely involved with the transformation of the store group into the multi-site super brand we know today. After Selfridges, Charlie joined the pioneering interactive TV service, Open. Open was acquired by Sky in 2001 and Charlie joined Sky, where he was Marketing Director for over 5 years, before leaving to found Simplifydigital in 2007.
